J. Levesque

Founder Jim Levesque has successfully overseen construction and development of a diverse range of property types internationally and throughout California. His extensive project experience has provided him with a depth of experience for identifying, understanding and managing project risks and challenges. His commitment to successful project delivery and his accountability for budget control and schedule adherence provides exceptional client representation from a project’s inception through successful and timely completion and occupancy.

Jim's leadership has provided a track record of success for project completions emanating from a life commitment to a fully collaborative project team management philosophy. His experience includes a wide range of property types and roles that include general building contractor, licensed specialty subcontractor, owner's rep, construction manager, consulting developer and portfolio investment advisory services. Project diversity includes custom home and tract home developments, steel fire resistant home building, healthcare, commercial, retail and mixed use properties.

A few of Jim's project experience highlights include feasibility, entitlement processing, construction and development for housing tract builders in Southern California, custom homes for owners in Los Angeles and Malibu and commercial and tenant improvement construction projects throughout California and the nation. Jim's additional leadership as president of a drywall and steel framing subcontractor has a track record of many successful projects throughout Southern California. Jim's expertise as a subcontractor with steel stud framing experience is the foundation for building client driven Fire Resistant Steel Custom Homes to meet the challenges of building high quality homes in high fire risk locations.

S. Miles

Sten Miles recently retired as Senior Building Inspector of Malibu following a stellar career spanning 21 years of service and expertise in the City of Malibu. Sten brings a wealth of experience in one of the most challenging locations for building within the United States. His experience conducting thousands of inspections and supporting owners, architects and builders in the quest for successful custom home building has resulted in a brilliant track record acknowledged by the many owners and talented building experts who have worked alongside him.

During his tenure as inspector, Sten was also charged with inspecting all fire destroyed homes from the Woolsey Wildfire and the subsequent building department support during the storms and flooding that further impacted properties following the worst fires in the state's history. The combined experience with the Malibu fires with Equal Partners' expertise in Steel Fire Resistant Framing provides a unique opportunity to serve custom home owners with modern long term solutions and benefits to building their dream homes with confidence utilizing substantial fire protection systems.

Sten brings a most unique wealth of experience as a senior building inspector that includes experience conducting thousands of inspections of Malibu Homes, many of which, had enormous challenges that include hillside mountainous locations to hi-risk beachfront custom home construction. His substantial construction experience in the field combined with his substantial zoning and building code knowledge supports Sten's capabilities to deliver early project design support and preconstruction protections that arise on so many projects. This expertise can bring substantial savings in costs and reduced timelines for project completions. Sten thrives on providing support to the Owner and Team often helping avoid major delays and costly impacts that can often completely derail well intentioned projects.

D. Davis

Dave has four decades of extensive project and construction management experience enhanced by several years experience in both conceptual budget cost analysis, value engineering support and final bid processing. His commitment to client advocacy together with his ability to identify and mitigate project risks brings a powerful value to Owners through leadership and accountability.

Dave has worked on diverse and international projects that including executive roles for national home builders on each coast. He is also well versed in the construction management and contracting for healthcare and commercial projects nationally. David is an expert at construction contract development and negotiation, project budget development, schedule management and design management. He provides Owners and design professionals with the analysis and tools they need to make informed project decisions consistent with goals and deliverables.

Dave brings an added expertise in design review and cost estimating steel and light gauge framing systems for commercial and steel fire resistant building systems for the custom home Owner seeking alternative construction systems in high fire risk locations in particular.

Dave brings to each project his deep experience in both preconstruction and construction phasing, budget and schedule development and management, conceptual and final cost estimating, organization support of the planning, design, entitlement process, construction administration and owner move-in and project closeout.

P. Seymour

Patricia Seymour has over 25 years of experience in healthcare research and IRB administration. She has worked as a Director, Human Subject Protections at several Universities and academic medical centers. She has also worked for independent IRBs. In her career, she has started 6 new IRBs in various settings. She is currently a consultant and board member at several universities.

Patricia has over 25 years of operational and management experience working in complex organizations including medical centers, Universities and for profit entities. Pat's experience includes close alignment and support for stakeholders within diverse project management duties. Her experience managing teams of experienced executives on large complex projects provides the overview and support Owners and consultants so often need to execute and deliver effective successful projects.
